Libertarians for Rudy Giuliani

This is arguably the first time since 1984 that libertarians had one of their own, or at least one who shares most of their core principles one the ballot. Still most libertarians are squandering this opportunity to do what libertarians do best which is to argue about "purity". Since the days of Ayn Rand v. Nathaniel Branden libertarians have been obsessed with ideological purity, and for years it has lead to political failure. Since 1971, libertarians have been tricked into wasting their vote for a party that more closely resembles a kindergarten class then a national political organization. The Libertarian Party has done nothing but cause libertarians to become irrelevant in both parties and 0% influence in national politics as a whole. Now is our chance to have an impact and elect someone who is fiscally conservative, socially tolerant and pro-defense. Vote Giuliani!!!!

Let me be the first to congratulate you on this enterprise. Everyone you say here about the Libertarian movement is correct. It's a hard pill to swallow. But it's accurate.

How'd you like to be on our radio show "Libertarian Politics Live" to promote this new site?

Contact me and we'll work it out.

"Libertarians for Giuliani?" Hey, why not? After that we can do "Cosnervatives for Kruschev" and maybe "Chickens for Colonel Sanders." The possibilities are endless!

Hint: Giuliani got his start as an over-the-top drug warrior, and he's only gone downhill since.

It's not a "purity" thing. Giuliani isn't "sort of libertarian" or "close to libertarian" or "libertarian leaning." He's probably the least libertarian candidate in the race for the GOP's 2008 presidential nomination ... and that's saying a lot.

Coming from a guy who is a LINO: Libertarian In Name Only. Folks here might not know Thomas L. Knapp. Very nice guy in person. But politically, he's a Leftwing Anarchist bombthrower.

Folks like Knapp are scared to death of a Rudy candidacy. They know he will win bigtime over their preferred choices: Hillary Clinton and Burack HUSSEIN Obama.

Knapp is simply a provacateur and an admitted activist for the Democrat Party. Wouldn't pay much attention to him.

I'd have a steak dinner and beers with him, for sure. But on politics, he's completely looney tunes.

Any educated person,
libertarian or not,
can recognize sour grapes.

Your words, even written,
have the ring of a fine whine.

I do not know what issues you have,
but calling Knapp looney,
and Guiliani a libertarian,
are real signs of -your-
detachment from reality.
